The Wireless Network Models and Algorithms group at IIT focuses its research activities on modeling, analysis, and design of algorithms for wireless multi hop networks.
The main research challenge of our group is to bridge the gap between investigations of foundational nature (through, e.g., theoretical investigations of fundamental wireless network properties, design of algorithms with proven performance bounds, etc.) and their application to practical wireless network design. A fundamental step to bridge the above gap is the definition of accurate, yet manageable from an algorithmic and analytical point of view, wireless network models, whence the name of our group: WiNeMA - Wireless Network Models and Algorithms.
