ACM Europe is organizing an event similar to the Federated Computing Research Conference (FCRC) that is held in the US every four years. The goal of the ACM European Computing Research Congress (ACM ECRC) is to co–locate multiple (ACM) European research conferences, workshops, and/or research meetings to create a significant gathering of European computing researchers. The ACM ECRC general plenary sessions address important issues in European computing research. The general receptions will foster an enhanced level of networking among European researchers, a tanglible contribution of ACM Europe to the computing community.
ACM ECRC is being built around SIGCHI's 2013 CHI conference that will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. CHI'13 begins Saturday, April 27, 2013 and runs through Thursday, May 2, 2013.
