Judith Poirier studied at the Royal College of Art, London and currently lives and works in Montreal. She teaches at the École de design, Université du Québec à Montréal. Her work focuses on experimental typography through film, book design and printmaking. She uses letterpress, exploring connections between the printed page and the cinema screen.

Ben Kiel is a typeface designer, graphic designer, and educator. He runs Typefounding, a typeface design and production studio in Saint Louis, Missouri. Before starting Typefounding, he worked at House Industries where he worked as a typeface designer, director, and developer. He teaches at Washington University in Saint Louis and at the Type@Cooper program in New York City. He has taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Delaware. At House, he worked as part of the team that developed the online Photo-Lettering service, shortlisted as a Design of the Year by the London Design Museum in 2012. He received his MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading, UK, in 2005.
