This giveaway is now closed.  The winner is… Comment #840 Joyce Gallegos!!

Admit it….you are kind of afraid of a pressure cooker.  It seems outdated and you secretly worry it just might explode all over your kitchen.  Well get ready, because Cuisinart has updated this classic appliance!

Think of an electric pressure cooker as  ”fast, slow cooker.”  This appliance from Cuisinart is safe, easy to use, cooks up to 70% faster than conventional methods.  Steam trapped in the pot builds up pressure that creates hotter temperatures, and the pot is so tightly sealed that vitamins and minerals can’t boil away. Foods stay moist and flavors stay true.  It features variable pressure and temperature settings, plus Browning, Simmering and Sauté functions for perfect roasts, stews, vegetables, cheesecake or custard. The Cuisinart Pressure Cooker is absolutely safe, with a lid that has to be locked in place before pressure builds, and stays locked until pressure is released.

Have I convinced you yet?  Because one lucky reader will win one this week!

My grandmother used a pressure cooker and had some great dishes. I’d love to try to replicate her menus.

I used a pressure cooker for years and loved the food but hated when the temp would get too high I would turn off the stove and we all ran for the diningroom hoping it would no explode. This sounds like a great idea.

I do a lot of cooking for the local conservation club for the fund raisers and i think this would be ideal, it would really come in handy when we are in a hurry.

My mom used to use a pressure cooker all the time and she cooked the best food. I am afraid of the traditional cookers and think this would be a safer option

A friend brought beef stew to a potluck (in her 40-year old pressure cooker)and it was fantastic! Meat was SO tender. I was very skeptical about cooking with pressure…I’ve heard the horror stories. I have been researching pressure cookers for about 2 months now, and am conviced they are safe and a great time saver. Would really love to try this Cuisinart, especially for stews and pot roast. Thanks!

I’ve never used a pressure cooker – but many friends make GREAT meals with theirs. It would be fun (and healthy?) to have one to play with and use!

The Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker would be a true blessing in my kitchen as I have been volunteered by my son as one of the parents to prepare meals for his Boy’s Club. These young men age ranges are 16-20, yet they eat like those huge line backers on a football team. Wishfully hoping…..

I’ve never used one before and always thought it would be cool to see what I could create with one.

my daughter is 28 married and has been talking about pressure cooking. I think it would be nice for the two of us to learn a new way of cooking together, and she could pass it down to her children.

Yes I would like to try the Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker. We use a grill to cook our pork shoulder for BBQ. We have to watch it so the temperature won’t get to hot. I think it would be wonderful where we won’t have to keep on watching the temperature so it won’t burn. The pressure Cooker would make it moist I would think. Thank You

I love to cook with a pressure cooker however mine is not working at the moment. It really makes meat so very tender! I love the idea of being able to program the pressure cooker.

I’m in dire need of a slow cooker but this would be even better since it would also help with canning. Really a great prize.

I’m one of those people who has always wanted to try a pressure cooker but has feared a mishap. This one seems to be foolproof, so I’d like to give it a try.

I want to try the pressure cooker because as my kids get older we have less time for food preparation because of sports and school activities and still want to enjoy good home cooked meals.
