Chris Lauzon

Christopher Lauzon is the Director of Customer Happiness at WP Engine. He helps WordPress users with the day-to-day challenges of running and optimizing WordPress websites. He has been a web consultant for numerous companies in the e-commerce industry, and has been involved with Technical Support for web hosting companies for almost 10 years.

Dan Maccarone

Dan is the co-founder of Charming Robot, a product design company based in NYC. For the past twelve years, he has been helping startups and media companies shape their online product strategy, including Foursquare, Rent The Runway, Jetsetter and Savored. His experience also includes television, music and print media, and he has worked with Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Gawker, Saturday Night Live, Universal Music and The Wall Street Journal. One of his most noted projects was creating the original strategy and user experience for Hulu. Prior to Charming Robot, Dan co-founded the design agency Hard Candy Shell.

Dan received his Master’s Degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and his Bachelor of Arts from Colby College in English and Performing Arts.

David is from South Florida and has organized the last two WordCamp Miami (2010 and 2011). He spoke at the first “WordCamp” Miami in 2009 about BuddyPress, and a full-time WordPress/BuddyPress freelancer. He has created several custom WP/BP plugins and themes.

Ibrahim “Ibu” Madha

Ibrahim “Ibu” Madha is both an engineer and a product manager at Salon.com, where he was central to the 2011 migration from an ancient proprietary CMS to WordPress. He handled everything from writing the data migration scripts to training the editorial staff on the new publishing tools. Originally from Dallas, he now lives in San Francisco. Don’t get him started on Batman.

Jake Goldman is the owner of 10up LLC, a web agency focused on awesome WordPress implementations with 6 full time employees. Team 10up works on exciting and wide ranging WordPress projects, from top WordPress.com VIP clients like TechCrunch and 9 to 5 Mac, to major media outlets like Hip2Save, to businesses pushing the limits of WordPress like m62 visualcommunications. Jake is a writer and expert reviewer for Smashing Magazine, a core WordPress contributor, a professor at Boston University (where he teaches advanced WordPress development) and has authored over a dozen highly rated WordPress plug-ins. Jake founded and continues to organize the WordPress Providence meet up, and has spoken at WordCamps around the country, including Boston, New York, Mid-Altantic, Chicago, Philly, and Miami.

Ptah Dunbar is a core contributor of WordPress & BuddyPress and founder of Design by Craftsmen, a WordPress incubator and consultancy. Since 2006, Ptah has been involved in the WordPress eco-system creating themes and plugins, pioneering new development best practices and speaking at several WordCamps across the States. He is best known for his work contributing in WordPress 3.0 as well as authoring WP Framework, a rapid theme development framework.
