Grafton’s commitment to our students starts with hiring the most qualified people – and keeping them up to date with training in the latest behavioral healthcare and educational techniques. The process begins with a thorough initial screening, followed by a minimum of 48 hours of curriculum training prior to working with clients. Additional courses are required to be completed within an employee’s first six months on the job. Additionally, all employees complete annual training requirements and must maintain certification.

Careful Screening

Grafton performs detailed reference checks and carefully screens and interviews every applicant. The process includes a thorough investigation including checks of the Child Protective Services Central Registry (both federal and state), Criminal History Record Checks, Drug Screening and a Department of Motor Vehicles Report. We also carefully review staff credentials and monitor work histories, to ensure that the people we hire are caring, compassionate individuals with the appropriate education, experience, certification and licensing.
