The International Linear Collider's Technical Design Report
A five-volume report containing the blueprint for a future particle physics project, the International Linear Collider, was published on 12 June 2013. The Technical Design Report (TDR) marks the completion of many years of globally coordinated R&D and completes the mandate of the Global Design Effort. It contains all the elements needed to propose the ILC to collaborating governments, including a technical design and implementation plan, that are realistic and have been optimised for performance, cost and risk.

Tokyo Statement
At the ILC Tokyo Symposium, held on 22 April 2015 at the Ito International Hall, Tokyo, Japan, the Linear Collider Collaboration (LCC) and the more than 300 participants from around the world at the Asian Linear Collider Workshop 2015 decided to issue a statement confirming their conviction of the scientific justification for a prompt realisation of the International Linear Collider.

How small can you go?
The world’s smallest ever beam size of 55 nanometres was achieved by the ATF2 facility at KEK, reported Nobuhiro Terunuma at the AWLC workshop held at Fermilab. And what is more, the results are reproducible, which means that for the ILC, a recovery after a short break would be no issue.
