2nd International Conference Frontiers in Diagnostic Technologies 
for plasmas, fusion research, astrophysics, nuclear particle physics, accelerators, laser, medical equipments and industrial applications

The aim of this interdisciplinary conference is to bring together different scientific communities,  laboratory plasmas, astrophysics, nuclear particle physics, accelerators, lasers, medical equipments and industrial applications, to discuss diagnostic measurements and  technologies  with a view to defining new strategies of common interest.


An award will be given to the best contributed paper presented by a young scientist.

The proceedings of the Conference will be published as a Special Volume of Nuclear Instruments and Methods A.

The conference will cover the following topics:

1.	Measurements of temperature and density 
2.	Energy spectrum of particles 
3.	Spectroscopy in various ranges of wavelengths
4.	Imaging in various ranges of wavelengths
5.	Techniques of analysis of massive databases

The programme will include tutorial lectures, invited oral presentations and posters.

The conference is organized by ENEA (Italian Agency for the development of new technologies, energy and environment) and INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics), and sponsored by the Universities of Milano Bicocca, Roma II 'Tor Vergata’, Quanta System SpA, CAEN S.p.A. and by Consorzio RFX Padova.

The Conference will be organized in 5 plenary half-day sessions, each dedicated to one topic, and one poster session. In each session there will be one tutorial lecture and 5 invited talks.

A satellite meeting will be organized on "Techniques of Acceleration" 

A registration fee of 300 Euros to be paid only in cash at the Registration Desk (no advance payment, no checks, no credit cards). The Registration desk will have the following opening hours:
- Monday 28 November from  8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday 29 November from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Wednesday 30 November  from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
