I am incredibly flattered that the American Library Association asked me to create a Raven-Cycle themed READ poster for them:www.alastore.ala.org/detail.aspx?ID=11645

It’s not just that it was a cool illustration assignment β€” it was β€” it’s that the READ posters and libraries have a special place in one of the caverns of my dark heart. I was a Navy brat and moved many, many times as a kid, and the first thing my mother used to do when we got to a new place was get library cards for my siblings and me. I spent endless hours sitting in the stacks of public libraries across the U.S. Endless hours beneath READ posters of all sorts.

Could I have imagined that one day, someone else would be sitting under one of those posters with my characters on it?

Hi, I'm Maggie Stiefvater

Professional novelist by day and artist by night. I live an eccentric life in the middle of nowhere, Virginia with my charmingly straight-laced husband, two kids, and neurotic dogs.
