The king of ‘gif-iti’, the animated graffiti gif technique, has a name, and its Insa. Here we follow him during his performance at the event 180 Creative Camp in the Portuguese town of Abrantes, where we see the British artist in a short documentary which was recommended to us by Montana Colors Australia.

It’s quite probable that Dondi is the most charismatic writer from the golden age era of New York graffiti. It may be because he was a creator of style that formed the foundations of contemporary graffiti or because of his untimely death in 1998 at the age of 37. Regardless of the reason, the emblematic figure who was Donald Joseph White has gone down in graffiti history as one of the most legendary writers ever.

Some days ago the graffiti world received the sad news about the loss of one of northern Europe’s most notorious and well travelled writers ever, Risk (not to be confused with Risk MSK, Risk HBS or RISK WOODAS). Many Instagram accounts of writers from all over the world has been full of posts in homage to this  giant of finnish graffiti by posting pieces of his. We felt we had to make a compilation of these pictures to show our support to the many friends of his.

To celebrate the collaboration on the Rockhastalas6 website header, the Madrid blog has published a handful of brand new pieces and throw-ups by the Barcelona writer, Yesk. Yesk is a graffiti vandal refined to the T, who’s perfecting the search for originality and fun. We’ll show you some here, but it’s even better running into them on the street.

The Barcelona gallery, Miscelánea, has placed their bet on Srger this January. Tomorrow, Thursday, January 8th, “El Espejo” will be open,  a tripple-project; publication, exhibition, and video.

The show, curated by Sandy Fiocchetti, will present a composition of photographs, works on paper, an installation, and a wall intervention. The Sevillian artist has proposed an ample multimedia exhibition which will remain open to the public until January 31st.
