Located just 200 meters from the beach in beautiful Ericeira, Surfcamp Portugal is the perfect surf holiday getaway for both beginners and seasoned surfers.
Surfcamp Portugal is housed in a two-story villa, features comfortable accommodations with complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connection and scenic ocean views. Next to Foz do Lizandro beach and just 15 minutes on foot to the lovely fishing village of Ericeira. The house has a large dining room on the ground floor and a balcony one floor up. Behind the house is a private garden, which is great for relaxing, sun bathing on the day bed, and enjoying great local wines or a few cold Portuguese beers (both are of good quality and very inexpensive).
Our Surfcamp is only a 3-minute walk from Foz do Lizandro beach in Ericeira, Portugal – Surf capital of the Lisbon area and regular location for the World Surf Championship. Portugal is Europe’s surf Mecca and Ericeira was recently named one of only three World Surfing Reserves. Most of the rooms have great views of the ocean so you’ll always be able to check surfing conditions. Just make sure you bring your own beach towels!

Surfing Ericeira
Surfing Portugal has a thriving culture, of which Ericeira is one of the principal hubs. It is home to many professional Portuguese surfers and highly regarded among surfers the world over. Surfing in Ericeira is great all year round and offers consistent high quality waves and a wide range of breaks suitable for varying degrees of experience. There are many beautiful quality beaches for novice surfers and plenty of challenging right and left hand reef breaks for those with more experience. Ribeira d’Ilhas is one of the longest breaks in the area and home to two annual world surfing competitions. All are located within 20 km of Surfcamp Portugal HQ.
Ericeira’s premier surfing coastline is 4km (2.5 miles) long and is packed with a variety of top surf spots for all skill levels, including world-class point breaks and reefs. A stunning variety of beaches and breaks are all within a 10-minute car journey. Get more details at Surfing Ericeira.
Surfguiding
Based on your desires, skill level and current surf conditions, our guides will take you to all of the best beaches, point breaks and reefs around Ericeira. We offer inexpensive surf lessons for beginners as well as guided surfing all day long. So you can learn in the morning and practice during the day with a guiding hand.
Airport-runs and money
We also offer airport pickup and drop off at Lisbon Airport. Portugal is highly developed and the area around Ericeira is well equipped with banks and ATMs/cash machines so you don’t need to travel with much cash.
