Membership & Contacts

At present our membership is largely made up of professionals who care for literary papers in university and national libraries. GLAM hopes to develop a broad and inclusive membership, welcoming the interest and participation of: custodians of literary collections in any context, including local record offices, public libraries, single-author centres, museums, literary publishing houses and agencies; researchers and teachers at all levels with an interest in literary archives and manuscripts; and writers (who are after all the creators of our literary collections!)

To become a member of GLAM, simply email our Secretary Joanne Fitton (J.C.Fitton@leeds.co.uk) with your name & contact details, specifying if you would like to join GLAM as an individual or as a representative of an organisation/institution.

Cataloguing Working Party

This sub-group of GLAM was set up in 2009 and meets bi-annually. The Chair is rotated between members on a six-monthly basis, and currently held up Helen Melody. Membership of the group is as follows:

UK Literary Heritage Working Group 

GLAM also works closely with the UK Literary Heritage Working Group, which was established in 2005 to address issues surrounding the sale and dispersal of modern literary manuscripts to overseas institutions.
