Eating a good diet is important to staying healthy.  UC CalFresh helps children and adults choose a healthy lifestyle by encouraging good food habits and decision making skills.  As part of the UC Cooperative Extension, we're helping build and maintain healthy families and communities.

Our Mission

spacer
Collaborate to provide multilevel behavioral and educational intervention among SNAP-ED eligible residents of Kings County.

Find Nutrition & Physical Activity Resources in your Community

Would you like to locate a park or community center in your neighborhood? Visit the Nutrition and Physical Activity Resource Directory to find low or no-cost activities near you.

EatFresh Resources

EatFresh is an online resource for CalFresh (SNAP, or food stamps) eligible individuals and families, though this website is a great resource for anyone who wants to improve their health. Our goals for this website are:

  • To encourage cooking at home with fresh foods and minimally processed non-perishables
  • To show users that healthy change happens even though barriers exist
  • To better understand the link between  lifestyle/diet choices with the prevention of chronic diseases
