Teacher/Educator Youth Program

Enrolled Teachers in Kings County

 

Thank you for being active in teaching nutrition to your students. Your efforts help build and maintain healthy families and communities in Kings County.  Working together we're teaching students good food habits and decision-making skills.

 

 

West Hills College Child Development Centers

We are excited to be working with the tutors at West Hills in Lemoore and Avenal again this year. Stone Soup and Day of the Child were great events last year. We are seeing improvement with our students and parents. The yogurt parfaits were a big hit at Avenal Elementary.

Afterschool Programs

The Chef Club has been a great success with our Ready program students. We have many new ideas and themes we would like to work with you this year. New physical activities, cooking classes and hopefully this spring webinars. We look forward to your suggestions, ideas and help with making nutrition education a popular subject in the Ready program.

Power Play

"Power Play!" encourages students to eat fruits and vegetables every day and gives creative ways for the students to successfully do so. Children at this age are assuming more responsibility for their own health and well-being. Power Play is designed for maximum learning using integrative and fun activities and taste-testing to hold the interest of this age group. Ready after school program this is the curriculum that we plan to use this year for your 5th and 6th grade students.
