The Walworth County Association for Home and Community Education (WCHCE) is pleased to announce that it will award one $1,000 scholarship to a Walworth County resident who is a high school senior intending to enroll as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s Program at any college or university or an Associate Degree Program at any technical college.

UW-Whitewater Continuing Education will be hosting several winter gardening workshops this year, including Fairy Gardens, Growing Vegetables from Seed, and Sustainable Landscaping.

A full-day equine educational program, organized and sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Cooperative Extension Service, will be offered on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Kenosha County Center in Bristol, WI.

Walworth County UW-Extension is currently accepting applications for an SAAIP (Summer Affirmative Action Internship Program) Intern for the summer of 2016.

The 2016 Walworth County 4-H Music Fest will be held on Sunday, February 7 in the Elkhorn High School Auditorium beginning at 1:00 p.m. Sign up to participate today!

A day of hands-on fun and learning, Kids’ College is designed to get youth thinking, doing, and creating. Classes are open to all 4-Hers and their friends grades 3 and up, regardless of their enrolled projects. Youth do not have to be enrolled in 4-H for this event. Strengthen your skills in an area you’ve signed up for, or try out a brand new one. It’s up to you! There is also a special track just for Cloverbuds (or youth grades K-2)!

The UW-Extension is looking for classrooms from around the county that would like to build a bee hotel to display as part of a large pollinator habitat demonstration area at the 2016 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days!
