Ashland Elementary CANSKI starts Friday January 8, and continues on Fridays after school. Middle School and High School start recreational skiing on Thursday, January 14 at the Ashland MMC/ Hospital Trails and continue on Tuesdays at Ashwabay and Thursdays at Ashland at 4pm.

The 2016 Summit XC Ski Race is set for Saturday, January 30th at Mt. Ashwabay Ski & Recreation Area, 3 miles South of Bayfield, WI. This is a community run cross country ski race. Funds raised are used to promote youth ski development and quality trail grooming.
