The Fermilab Computer Security Team (CST) offers technical and educational support and services as part of administering the laboratory's computer security program.
- Registration of network devices is required in order to gain access to the Fermilab network. In addition, the system administrator of each node must be registered. This way Fermilab can communicate with and provide support to all the necessary people and machines when a security incident occurs. More information on this can be found in the Data Communication and Networking Documentation. Web pages are available to register (use the same form for devices, nodes and sysadmins), and to verify your registration.
- The CST makes available a variety of tools to Fermilab users, some for getting and working with certificates, some for scanning, and others for removal of unwanted software from your system.
- Computer Security training is available in the forms of web documents, PowerPoint presentations and streaming video.
- CST maintains a Plone site that links to a variety of forms that you can use to request special Kerberos items, exemptions from certain policies, and use of restricted tools and services.
- CST maintains a security issue tracking database, called the TIssue DB. You may browse it.
