About Frameline
Founded in 1979, Frameline’s mission is change the world through the power of queer cinema. As a media arts non-profit, Frameline’s programs connect filmmakers and audiences in San Francisco and around the world, and create an international stage for the world’s best queer film through the San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival.
Internship Opportunities
Frameline internships offer excellent exposure to the operational, programmatic, and public relations processes of a top-ranked film festival as well as the Distribution program of a leading LGBTQ non-profit arts organization. Students can arrange to receive coursework credit for their internships.
Programming Intern
The Programming Intern will assist the Programming & Hospitality Manager who provides direct support to the Director of Exhibition & Programming in all regards to film entries, film reviews, correspondence relating to film entries, and programming of the Festival.

Programming & Hospitality Intern
The Program and Hospitality Intern will assist the Programming & Hospitality Manager and P&H Assistant who provide direct support to the Director of Exhibition & Programming in all regards to film entries and filmmakers. The P&H intern will also help run the Film Festival Green Room, cater to the needs of VIPs and other guests, and manage volunteer Hospitality Hosts and Theatre Hosts in relation to Frameline40: San Francisco International Film Festival (June 16 - 26, 2016).
