Sheriff's Office Mission

Our mission to be united with Cabrillo Community College to make the campus a place where all people can attend safely and without fear. The Cabrillo Governing Board has contracted with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office to provide law enforcement on Cabrillo College Campuses.

The Sheriff’s Office provides security to the Cabrillo College Campus (Aptos) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Coverage of the Watsonville Campus is a combined effort both by The Sheriff’s Office and The Watsonville Police Department but again, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Sheriff’s Office provides Cabrillo College with designated personnel during the following hours;  

Aptos campus:
Mon – Fri:           7:00 am to Midnight
Saturdays:          9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Watsonville Campus: 
Mon - Thurs:      5:00 pm to 10:30 pm

All other hours not listed are covered by either The Sheriff’s Office or Watsonville Police personnel assigned to patrol and may be reached at 471-1121.

The Sheriff’s Office provides the following services to Cabrillo College staff, faculty and students;

·        Vehicle lock out assistance

·        Jump Starts

·        Personal Escorts

·        Crime reports/investigations

·        Civil assistance

For administrative questions such as; Parking citations/appeals, “Live Scan” services or to leave a message for Sheriff’s Office personnel assigned to Cabrillo, please call 479-6314

For other services during normal business hours such as; the unlocking of classroom doors and disarming of alarms, please call campus maintenance 479-6465. After hours call 212-8416
