Inner tubes make common appearances on our site and a reader (I lost track of who) sent along another version of a hack we posted previously. Back in February, Lucas sent along an Instructable he wrote on turning inner tubes into shoe laces and we posted it.
Another version of the same hack is posted here on Instructables, description and picture below.
I got tired of my bike's pedals catching my laces, so I decided to ditch my laces and go for something else. I ended up with using inner tubes to turn them into slip-ons. They stretch out to put your foot in, and stretch back tight. Mine are incredibly comfortable and very convenient.

Cool idea...i just got some synch bands for my shoes...they kinda do the same thing. Super comfortable :)
