"Things are going pretty good," Hines said. "I picked up a new offer from Marshall last week. I think that makes eight or nine total."
Spring football is around the corner, but for now Hines will be focusing on track. He will be running four events and facing some of the toughest sprinting competition in the nation.
"We start our spring practices like in the back-half of track season. I am running track, but we haven't had a meet yet. I will do the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and the 4x200m.
"My best 100m time is 10.62-seconds. I got beat by a kid that will probably be running in the next Olympics. His name is Royce Turnbull and his dad played in the NFL. The kid is unbelievable."
When Hines isn't running track he's training with a former NFL wide receiver who was a second round draft pick and was a two-time All-Pro. Hines said that the extra training, in the first off-season of playing wide receiver, has been extremely helpful.
"I am working with Muhsin Muhammed who used to play for the Carolina Panthers. He has helped me so much with the things that you can't just do in a game. It's more mental than it is physical.
"Last year was my first year playing wide receiver so getting into an off-season when I can work on my routes and work with a guy like that is extremely helpful."
Hines is just a few weeks removed from an unofficial visit and he will take two more trips over the next three weekends. After that Hines isn't sure about any other trips and he is still planning on making an early decision around the end of next month.
"I went to North Carolina State a few weeks ago and I plan on visiting Nebraska on March 30th and then visiting Ole Miss on April 6th.
"I am not really sure if I will take anymore trips or not. It's kind of a down time for recruiting. I definitely want to be an early commit guy and have my mind made up by the end of April."
