What exactly is Storage Qloud™? 

As surprising as that may sound, Storage Qloud™ is GreenQloud’s triple-redundant, secure and Truly Green™ cloud storage solution.

The API is S3 compatible, so it works with a wide array of third-party clients and command line tools.

How much is it?

Unlike other providers, we don’t charge you for storage you don’t use.

Billing is done monthly, based on the average of data you used. When you create your GreenQloud account, Storage Qloud™ is automatically activated, but you won’t be charged since there is no data in it yet.

Storage is $0.95 per 10GB used, inbound bandwidth (uploading, moving data between buckets) is free, and outbound bandwidth (downloading) is $0.08 per GB – the first TB is free.

We believe in simplicity and truthfulness: you can use our Storage Qloud™ pricing calculator to see what costs you can expect. You’re also able to see live data of your storage use in the dashboard.

What’s a ‘bucket’?

The bucket is where the folders and files are kept for grouping and access – like a USB drive.

Can I use multiple buckets?

Sure thing. You can easily create multiple buckets via the management console, helping to keep your data organized, especially if Compute Qloud™ instances are being used in conjunction.

I ain’t see no buckets!

By default, bucket view is disabled in the dashboard. On the bottom left click ‘advanced options‘ and then ‘show bucket view‘ – and you’ll see all the buckets in a list on the left.

What do you mean by ‘triple-redundant’?

Each file stored on Storage Qloud™ is automatically replicated at least two times and spread to three independent hardware storage pods across two data centers.

Storage Qloud™ also instantly replicates and rebuilds the missing copies on working servers.

Where are the storage nodes located?

All our storage nodes are located in two data centers in Iceland.

What about privacy and security?

You can of course set, view, and edit permissions for groups of data and/or individual files.

You can also share your files through the dashboard, but unless you explicitly set permissions for others to read or write, all files are private by default.

Can I offer Storage Qloud™ to my customers?
