Deployment Cycle Support to Army National Guard, Air Guard, Reservists and Military Families

This initiative offers interactive workshops and educational content on the unique challenges that arise throughout the deployment cycle for service members and their supporters around family and couple relationships, communication, and parenting. These programs have been developed in collaboration with the Yellow Ribbon Program for the Michigan Army and Air National Guard and are offered during regularly scheduled pre-and post-deployment events. The family programs are led or co-led by M-SPAN team members, Michigan State University and Western Michigan faculty, Military Family Life Consultants and representatives from SOFAR with the assistance of advanced level graduate students in professional training programs.
