ALT-C 2008: Rethinking the digital divide

Welcome to the web site for ALT-C 2008, the 15th International Conference of the Association for Learning Technology, which was held at the University of Leeds, England.

Accessing the networking site for ALT-C 2008

By 6 September 2008, about 60% of conference attendees had joined the networking site for the conference and were using it to find and connect with other participants, and to create their own schedules. If you attended ALT-C, please create an account and continue to network.

Remote access to conference keynote speeches

Remote delegates could access the conference keynote speeches in real time between Tuesday and Thursday September 9 to 11.

Keynote speakers

Our keynote speakers were David Cavallo, Chief Learning Architect for One Laptop per Child, and Head of the Future of Learning Research Group at MIT Media Lab; Dr Itiel Dror, Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Southampton; and Hans Rosling, Professor of International Health, Karolinska Institute, Sweden, and Director of the Gapminder Foundation. Elluminate sessions are now available to download from the keynotes and invited speakers page.

Keeping informed about post conference news and ALT-C 2009
