Grandmother Booked for 3-Year-Old's Death

A 42-year-old New Orleans woman was arrested after her 3-year-old grandson was fatally shot while sharing a bed with her. Police said that the a gun under the pillow discharged, killing the child.

Reward Increased for Info on HANO Officer's Murder

On May 24, 2015, Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) Officer James Bennett, Jr. was fatally shot while patrolling a construction site in Central City. Police still have few leads in the investigation. However, the reward linked to the homicide was increased 25,000 dollars today in the hopes of kickstarting the case.
