About the SMU Digital Repository

spacer The SMU Digital Repository showcases SMU’s research and scholarly achievements by providing open access to research, online journals, articles, conferences, articles, white papers, and other scholarly works of the SMU academic community. Placing items in the repository compliments peer-reviewed publication by providing unrestricted access to materials that are either previously published (with permission) or seeking a publisher.

The SMU Digital Repository is a partnership between Central University Libraries (CUL), the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, and the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The Digital Repository Advisory Board advises and assists the Digital Repository Team in the process of developing policies and procedures, approves submissions to the repository and helps to promote the repository to their peers.

Digital Commons, from bepress, is the backbone of the Digital Repository and includes a professional-grade peer-review/editorial management option that allows SMU to host peer-reviewed publications and journals for faculty, students, academic staff, and other scholars.
