Billy Bob Thornton Returns to Ardent
Actor Billy Bob Thornton returned to Ardent this month to record some dialogue for a new film. Thornton was on the road with his band The Boxmasters and came to Ardent during his two day stint in Memphis. The Boxmasters had two consecutive nights at the newly reopened Lafayette's in Overton Square, less than a block from the studio.
On day two, Thornton brought the band in with him and recorded a song for their upcoming release. Mike Wilson engineered both sessions in Studio C.
Thornton has a long history with Ardent. He recorded a full record here in 1979 and has returned several times since for voiceover work.
