How You Can Get Involved

BUILD offers the best volunteer opportunities in Boston for business professionals looking to work with young people and perform meaningful community service. Our mentors and volunteers help high school students in under-resourced communities launch real businesses and excel in high school, college, and beyond.

mentoring

Time Commitment: 2 hours a week; October-June

As a BUILD Mentor, you will meet one afternoon or evening a week for 2 hours to help students develop their own business ideas, write business plans, pitch to funders, and launch real businesses. This real-world business experience makes school relevant and motivates them to succeed. To help them become college-eligible, BUILD students also receive tutoring, test prep, and advising for their school-work and college application process.

Time Commitment: Flexible

Discover how you can use your professional experience to help our students launch real businesses. Students need your help with graphic design, product development, marketing, pitch practice, finance, and more.

Time Commitment: One Day

Be a part of the energy, excitement, and innovation of BUILD Boston’s events. We’re always looking for volunteers to help make our events amazing by helping us behind the scenes with decorations, registration, etc. If you only have one day to spare, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
