Mexican Oregano, Broken Leaf or Powdered

Categories: Herbs, Mexican, Oregano
spacer

This type of oregano, grown in Mexico or California, has a very different flavor than the Mediterranean oregano - stronger and more bitter. More robust than Greek, this oregano stands up to the stronger flavors used in Mexican cooking such as hot chili peppers and cumin, which could overwhelm the more delicate oregano from the Mediterranean.

We offer both whole leaf Mexican oregano, which holds up to longer cooking times, and finely powdered oregano, which will blend smoothly into sauces.
