In this episode of WellCast, we look at the problem of social rejection and offer a three-step process to overcome it.
Rejection is something we all face at some stage in our lives--heck, some big-time celebrities are famous for rejection! (Ahem...Taylor Swift, anyone?)
That still doesn’t change the fact that rejection hurts. When we’re shunned by our friends and family, we suffer deep emotional pain. Turns out that emotional pain is not that far off from physical pain.
We hurt from rejection because people are inherently social creatures. We want the company of others because we need that company.
