Philippians has clarity!

This is an epistle that really helps us walk the walk. You will find that this verse-by-verse study will really help you in daily Christian living. Paul gave us a real gift here.

The three great points

In my years of teaching Philippians I have found three verses that have been the most meaningful to me and to the participants in the various bible studies. They are key concepts you need to understand as a believer to begin walking in the power available to us in the Kingdom.

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. [Philippians 2:9–11 NLT]

The humility necessary as a believer is the core of our strength in the Lord. We need to humble ourselves as Jesus did.

God is at work in you, both to make you willing and to make you able. [Philippians 2:13 MVP]

We are not left dependent on our understanding and will power. God has us covered. All we have to do is seek Him and He’ll do the rest.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:6–7 ESV]

Here is Christian living in a nutshell. The key is found in the phrase “in everything”. This prayer is without ceasing, every day, all day, about your entire life, work, play, and fellowship with the Creator and your Lord.
