In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@Caltech, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

TEDxYouth is an immersive experience for the younger generation — on stage and off. In keeping with the spirit of TED conferences, our diverse group of speakers are asked to give the "talk of their lifetime," sharing with the audience their exciting discoveries, talents, and dreams.

The audience, which is every bit as extraordinary as the speakers, will have opportunities to mingle and connect not only with the speakers, but also with Caltech faculty and students. Plus, there is free lunch!
