Local boy Chris Evans attended the 73rd Golden Globe Awards Sunday to present Spotlight as a contender for Best Picture–Drama. It was fitting, as the movie–based on The Boston Globe’s unearthing of the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal–was filmed and set in Evans’s hometown.
And he said so in his speech: “[The Spotlight Team’s] year-long Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation rocked my hometown of Boston to its core.”

Despite the bitter cold, people in Boston are still drinking iced coffee
It’s been frigidly cold in Boston this week. Hypothermia cold. Frostbite cold. “Real feel” temperatures were down in the single digits this morning, thanks to the gusty wind that swept across the city.

Burlington, VT residents poked fun at Donald Trump with these protest signs
On Thursday night, Republican hopeful Donald Trump hosted a rally in Burlington, Vermont. Burlington is the hometown of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, whose political career began when he was elected mayor of the city back in the 1981.
