Watch Now: Smooth Seas Never Made Good Sailors (LPTV)

July 16, 2014

This episode of LPTV takes place as we leave the studio, heading into album launch and the beginning of our tour…but after only few shows, Brad got an injury that threatened show cancellations.  This episode takes you through the efforts of the band to create a “contingency plan” and to keep things focused during an uncertain time:

Damn I feel for Brad, having back pain is no joke. It’s one of the worst pain to have. I have had days that I couldn’t get out of bed. Hope he’s feeling better now

Loved the song “Mark the Graves”, the lyrics were awsome.
    Thanks Mike, keep awsome.

I was there in St. Pete and honestly we started to suspect things when Brad didn’t come to the meet&greet. I asked Missy where he was and she said he was giving an interview at the moment and we were like…oK this can’t be, and then we saw Brad on stage and we knew immediately he wasn’t feeling well. If you read this, please tell Brad a huge thank you from every person from that crowd. We appreciate that a lot.

I remember on your last tour when Dave got sick and you had Ted play for him. I love how you guys trust your crew so much, especially Benjamin who was with you for such a short period of time during Brad’s injury. I really hope he is doing better now. Surely, taking my hat off to him for playing the shows, he seemed like he was in much pain. Respect to all of you for always considering the fans first and finding ways to do the show even with such difficulties because, by now, pretty much all of you have played at least one show while hurt. Thank you guys.

I really admire how you guys manage to stay focused and how Brad decided to play the show, even though he was injured. Thanks for the great dedication throughout the years and for the great memories from Rock in Rio Lisboa!

It can’t be easy to play a whole show carrying an injury so thank you LP for thinking of us fans and not just taking the easy way out and cancelling shows.
