Democrats are lying to Montanans about Steve's successful business record.

FactCheck.org found Democrats attempts to spread false claims about Steve's successful business record to be "unsupported" and said "clear evidence is lacking."

Steve Daines spent 28 years in business, growing companies and creating jobs. At RightNow Technologies, Steve created hundreds of good-paying Montana jobs with an average salary of $75,000, and helped grow the company into Bozeman's largest commercial employer, with more than 1,000 employees.

At RightNow Technologies, Steve helped locate and cut waste and inefficiencies in the federal government - saving taxpayers millions of dollars.

Steve has a successful record creating good-paying jobs here in Montana and is fighting to expand opportunities for all Montanans with more jobs and less government. Steve is fighting to bring Montana common sense solutions to Washington D.C. It's Montana-led solutions, not failed big government policies, that will grow the economy and create good-paying Montana jobs.

Democrats are making misleading claims about Steve's commitment to support and protect our public lands.

Growing up in Montana, Steve spent most of his free time outside hiking, hunting, fishing and enjoying the wilderness. Like most Montanans, Steve loves the outdoors and is a strong supporter of preserving, protecting and increasing Montanans' access to our public lands.

The transfer of federal lands to Montana is not feasible, but it is essential that Montanans have greater input and control in the management of our public lands, because the federal government has failed us.

Steve introduced the Making Public Lands Public Access Act- endorsed by numerous sportsmen groups- to preserve and increase Montanans' access to our public lands for hunting, fishing, and recreation.

Steve introduced the East Rosebud Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to preserve the natural beauty and recreational areas of the East Rosebud Creek and the surrounding areas of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and Custer National Forest.

Steve introduced the North Fork Watershed Protection Act, which protects the North Fork Flathead watershed and ensures recreation areas are maintained. With Steve's support, the House of Representatives passed the North Fork Watershed Protection Act of 2013, marking the first time this legislation has ever been passed by either chamber of Congress

Steve joined a bipartisan group of Congressmen in urging Chairman Calvert of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies to prioritize funding for the Land Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).

Steve cosponsored the Conservation Easement Incentive Act, which promotes conservation by incentivizing individuals to donate their land to nonprofit organizations for conservation purposes. As this tax credit has expired, H.R. 2807 would make the credit permanent.

Steve helped introduce H.R. 1526, the Restoring Healthy Forests for Healthy Communities Act, which was passed by the House last year with bipartisan support. The bill will protect Montana's outdoor heritage and revitalize Montana's timber industry, reducing the threat of wildfires and creating thousands of good-paying Montana jobs.

The Restoring Healthy Forests for Healthy Communities Act has received strong backing from Montana county commissioners, timber workers, and several sportsmen and conservation groups, including Montana Outfitters and Guides Association and the Mule Deer Foundation.

Steve supports legislation that helps grow Montana's economy by supporting the outdoor recreation industry.

Democrats are using a misleading Washington, D.C. playbook to scare our seniors.

Steve knows the importance of protecting the promises that have been made to Montana's seniors and securing important programs like Medicare and Social Security for future generations.

He voted to protect Medicare benefits for Montana seniors and and continues to fight against Democrats' $700 billion cuts to Medicare to pay for Obamacare.

Montana's seniors can't count on the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate to protect their health care- she supports cutting Medicare by over $700 billion and over 30,000 Montana seniors' enrolled in Medicare Advantage could have seen a premium increase because of Obamacare.

Steve broke from House leadership and Republicans to support the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which provides critical support and services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

VAWA ensures justice for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault and strengthens programs to keep victims safe. The law takes vital steps to support Montana women in rural areas- especially Native American women- providing greater justice and safety to all women in Montana.
