Local Authority and Community projects are very varied in nature and each has its own challenges from working in public buildings such as libraries to special projects like Surestart and care facilities for the more vulnerable members of our community.
Recent projects include:
Unusually, the Borough of Maidenhead’s Library is a listed building, encompassing everything from the colour of the bricks to the panelling in the toilets. So, when it came to re-carpeting and cleaning, there had to be a strict programme involving out-of-hours work whilst maintaining access to the public during normal opening hours. Cleaning the 8m high metal space frame took great care and specialist plant.
This property is a large former house which is now used as a special facility for autistic and special needs children. Our work involved upgrading and modernising the property to meet the latest Disabilities Act and the Part M Regulations. Using our experience and expertise in the requirements of this highly specialist area, we worked sensitively to deliver the project successfully to the required high standard.
“We would like to feed back how impressed we were with the contractors that were on site after tenants moved in. It was noted by their parents and others how sensitive they were.”
