Sarah Grogan, a Cincinnati native, is the new director of a new choral program that will launch in January in two Cincinnati Public Schools. Three local arts groups – Cincinnati Children's Choir, Cincinnati May Festival and the Vocal Arts Ensemble – are partnering to launch the Cincinnati Choral Academy. The program, modeled after the acclaimed Venezuelan instrumental program called El Sistema, will begin with third grade students at Carson Elementary School in West Price Hill and Pleasant Hill School in College Hill.
