BUCS Nationals

BUCS Nationals is in its fourth year and returns to Sheffield for three action packed days of student sport. The event brings together 10 individual BUCS Championship events which take place at seven different venues. Over 6000 students will take part in the event with over 500 officials and volunteers making the sport happen on and off the field of play.

BUCS Mascot Race

Nationals 2016 will see the return of the BUCS Mascot race at 14:15 on 20th February at EIS. Brian the Lion will be hosting the event in aid of our charity partner Marie Curie. Its easy to enter your university mascot,  just donate £30 to Marie Curie through this page

Sponsors Information

Kukri, the official kit supplier to BUCS, will be selling a range of BUCS Nationals merchandise throughout the three day competition. You will be able to find them in the foyer of EIS, on the balcony at Ponds Forge and overlooking the arena at ICE.

Ashaway are the main sponsor the BUCS Nationals badminton competition. A restringing service and range of badminton specific merchandise will be available during the course of the competition at EISS.

Medical Information

There will be doctor and paramedic cover available at the English Institute of Sport, Ponds Forge, ICE Sheffield, Graves Tennis Centre and All Saints Sports College.

There will be a reduced physio presence at all nationals sports this year. If anyone has pre-existing injuries or has been knocked out of the competition they may not be seen by a BUCS physio. Injuries picked up on the day for those students still competing will take priority.
 
Spectators Information

Entry across all events is free, however at certain venues spectator space is limited. Programmes will be on sale at Athletics for £1.
 
Parking Details for Spectators

Ice Sheffield & EISS (Trampoline, Athletics and Badminton)
£3.50 per car / mini-bus per day (space permitting)

Ponds Forge (Swimming, Karate and Boxing)
Please park in the Q-Park in town as the Ponds Forge car park will be very busy.
Castle Gate Q-Park, Broad Street - discounted prices will be honoured for Ponds Forge customers.
Please collect a discounted car parking ticket from Main Reception at Ponds Forge. Monday - Sunday: £1 per hour up to a maximum of £6 (terms and conditions apply).
