About Insulted by Authors
Insulted by Authors is a quest to get past the factory-like procession of authors’ readings/signings to remind both reader and writer that we read to connect –- that showing up to a reading with a handful of books and a wide-eyed & breathless 15 seconds of contact with a literary hero can be more than the quotidian “Lots of love” or “All the best” or even the penurious “For.”
It’s also a wag’o’finger towards the ruthless, money-grubbing, “bring 12 1st editions of his 1st book but completely ignore the latest, better book” fucks who make it so difficult to get an author to not-hate his audience.
Not-hate. That’s what this blog is about. Contributing a modicum of not-hate.

So it’s not about finding an angle for self-promotion, then?
