Culture Espresso
A multi-roaster Café in Midtown Manhattan
Culture Espresso is a multi-roaster Café located in Midtown Manhattan that offers a different coffee roaster every two-three months. This enables their patrons to try an exciting espresso roast profile one day from Portland, Oregon or another from Durham, North Carolina a month later. This keeps things fresh for returning customers and is one reason why in one of the worlds busiest financial districts, people take time out of their day and go to Culture Espresso.
The design for this website started with some wireframe illustrations by Adam. Knowing that a busy café was not going to take the time to update the site regularly, we nixed the blog. The design needed to have all the contact info easily available on each page and we thought adding a Twitter feed and the Foursquare check-in update would be handy too.
After settling on the features, Adam starting working on the design and I started tinkering with code. The end result is a responsive website, large quotes that fade on page load, dynamically scaling images based on the viewport height and a WordPress CMS for the client to edit at will
