Campus Dining invites up to two parents of meal plan holders to dine for free at either dining center. Reservations must be made 7 days in advance. Please note, Watterson Dining Commons is the only dining center open Aug. 12 and 13, Sept. 5 through 7, Dec. 11, Jan. 8 and 9, March 26, and May 6. Refer to the semester calendar for details on location hours.

The education-ranking firm Niche has placed Illinois State University among the top campus-dining facilities in the nation. in the 2016 survey Campus Dining Services ranked at 90 among nearly 1,200 dining facilities, earning the highest ranking of any public university in the state of Illinois.
Should you find that you are unable to go to the dining center for meals due to illness, please contact your Resident Assistant. They will be able arrange for a sick tray to be delivered to the front desk of your residence hall.
