Photographic Education

Inside Out.

Our programs take many forms:
+ A 53-credit Certificate Program
+ 10-week courses & workshops
+ Master classes & public programs

Why engage with PCNW? For one, we’re passionate about the photographic arts and our classes offer everything from a rigorous technical instruction to creative and artistic development. For those looking to explore photographic concepts or take a short introductory course, we offer a range of shorter workshops for any level. You’ll be connected to a cohort of other dedicated students, and become part of a community that recognizes and rewards great photographic work.

Certificate program: The certificate program in fine art photography is designed to be technically and creatively demanding; most students complete the program in 3-5years. Students learn from practicing artists and experienced educators culminating with a year-long thesis project and gallery exhibition.

Continuing Education: For practitioners as well as enthusiasts, PCNW offers a range of crash courses, classes, and workshops. Depending on interests and availability, these offerings range from a few hours to 10 weeks and are designed to build knowledge in areas of current photographic practice.

Public Programs: Experience photography through exhibitions, lectures, and panel discussions. Whether you are a creator, or an appreciator of photography, join the conversation! Public programs are accessible to all who want to explore significant photography.
