Enter the Stage Door- High School juniors and seniors interested in an intense study of the practice of theatre are invited to explore the possibilities at the University of Illinois. Whether interested in Acting, Design, Technology, Management, Producing, Directing, Playwriting, or shaping the face of the Theatre for a new generation, Illinois Theatre has something to offer. We open our doors to invite you backstage into the rehearsal halls, shops, and classrooms to meet current students and professors and to see us at work. Seniors, ready to apply to the BFA Theatre Program, will have the option to audition or participate in a portfolio review and interview. Students and families are also invited to attend the evening performance of 1984 by George Orwell, an adaptation of the ground-breaking novel. Potential students will meet with current students in an informal pizza party, and parents can speak with professors to get more insight about the potentials of a degree in Theatre.
