Mike Herr — better known to the Penn State community as "Mike the Mailman" at the University Park post office — will retire on April 1 after 48 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Herr, who said his retirement isn't an elaborate April Fools' Day prank, talks about his decision to retire, his Penn State experience and his future plans in a Q&A with Penn State Today.

Penn State senior David Stack is the first Penn State student to be selected as a Junior Fellow of the Washington, D.C.-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The endowment offers 10 to 12 fellowships each year from a pool of nominees from nearly 400 participating colleges and universities.
