Welcome

Welcome to my website. I love romance fiction and in particular historical romance. I was raised on Woodiwiss, Lindsey and Deveraux, marvel at the art of Roberts, Kenyon and Brockmann and countless other authors whose brilliance and talent I have discovered during my own writing journey.

Writing is exciting, challenging, fulfilling, frustrating as all get out and has raised my appreciation of the soothing effects of chocolate. Historical romance fiction is my first love and so that is what I write.

My first manuscript, The Patrician's Desire was a 2006 Golden Heart finalist. The story of Jared, a merchant prince betrayed into slavery and Bryna, a seer desperate to reunite with her brother has also placed in and won several other contests including The Molly and placed second in PASIC'S Book of Your Heart contest where it garnered enthusiastic responses from booksellers and librarians.

Not to be outdone, The Patrician's Fortune has garnered enthusiastic responses in SMRW The Laurie, SFA-RWA's Heart to Heart, OK-RWA's Finally A Bride contest and Georgia Romance Writers The Maggie. Damon, a Roman spy and the ever patrician Julia also won the grand prize in NOLA's The Suzannah, a multi-sub-genre contest and placed first in the 2009 Fire & Ice contest sponsored by Chicago North.

That leaves Bran and Adria of The Barbarian's Soul. This ex-gladiator hero and street wise heroine recently finaled in their first contest, the 2009 Maggie.

I am very proud and honored to have my writing recognized by these prestigious contests.

There are so many great stories set in so many exciting time periods on the market. I'm often asked "Why Rome?"

Why not?

A society where power and arrogance nearly conquered a world is the perfect setting for stories of passion and love, of hope and triumph. The perfect place for two people to wage their own battles and overcome obstacles to find soul melding love. Where the conqueror becomes the conquered.

Rome.
