Kate’s newest book from Coffee House Press is How a Mother Weaned Her Girl from Fairy Tales
Some places gave it nice reviews like Slate and Entropy

Kate has some appearances coming up in September. She’ll be the Nilson Endowment Visiting Writer on the Southeast Missouri State University campus from September 15 – September 16, and will give a lecture for the “Perspectives” series at the Blanton Museum in Austin, TX for the Natalie Frank exhibit “The Brothers Grimm” on September 17. Kate was interviewed recently along with the author Laird Hunt for an article about literary collaboration. They talked about their work on the novella Office at Night, which was a finalist this summer for the Shirley Jackson Award!
