five minute friday

Welcome to Five Minute Friday!  This community was founded by Lisa-Jo Baker, who hosted the weekly link-up on her blog for four years before passing it on in August 2014.

It’s my great pleasure to host this one-of-a-kind crew, week after week. I dare you to find a more caring, compassionate group of bloggers who gather to support each other online! These writers amaze me. I adore each and every one of you.

If you’re new here or haven’t participated before, welcome!

Here’s how it works:

Every Thursday, a one-word prompt will be announced here on my blog at 10pm EST.

The link-up is open for a full week, until the following Thursday evening.

Oh, and before the prompt is revealed, many of us like to connect on Thursday evenings on Twitter at the hashtag #fmfparty.  Come join us and chat all things writing, chocolate and cupcakes!

To participate in Five Minute Friday, all you have to do is write for five minutes on the word of the week, post your words on your own blog, and link up the post here (via the InLinkz button at the bottom of the post). Be sure to add the actual permalink to your specific post, and not your blog’s homepage (e.g. katemotaung.com/five-minute-friday/ and not just katemotaung.com).

If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to post your five minutes of writing in the comments here each week, or on the Five Minute Friday Facebook page.

This is meant to be a free write, which means: no editing, no over-thinking, no worrying about perfect grammar or punctuation.

Just write.

Also, the most important rule is that you visit the blog of the person who linked up before you and leave some encouragement.  That’s the most fun of all, and the heart of this community.

Feel free to grab the button in the sidebar to use on your own sites so others will come write with us, too!

Go ahead subscribe to this blog so the prompt will appear in your inbox every week — and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest so you don’t miss a single prompt!

If you have any questions, drop me a comment or click the Contact tab in the menu bar above.

I think that’s about it!  We’re so glad you’re here, and look forward to connecting with you through shared words!

    Five Minute Friday – Fill

This week has been filled with sadness and pain.
Praying and pleading for a dear friend. God she has filled
My life with joy she has been there for me through the good and the bad.
Her life has been filled with uncertainty and fear . My pray is that you would fill her heart
With peace again I pray she will reach out to you .
Fill her room with your holy spirt. Please don’t let her feel alone .

We can’t take for grant the love ones God fills our lives With
Don’t think you have for ever love them now . When I think of the many times God fills my
My mind with good things to do for others and I don’t move on them .
God forgive me help me to be so filled with your spirt and love . I don’t want to be filled
    With just good intentions.
