Who is Manath?
Hi there! I’ve been playing my mage Manath since the open beta of World of Warcraft back in 2004.
He, like everyone else, had to start somewhere; I vaguely recall being proud of my full “of the Eagle” matching set back in the day when people were first hitting level 60, with every point blindly spent in the Fire talent tree. (He didn’t even have enough gold to learn most of his non-fire spells, which made fighting his first fire-immune Infernal very interesting.)
He’s come a long way since then.
Why did you create this website?
Mostly because I had already been doing most of the work for it elsewhere. I frequently posted up-to-date, best-in-slot gear lists for my fellow mage guild members on our private forums. I figured I may as well make it public, in case anyone else would find it helpful. So I decided to set out to make the mage website I wish I had when I first started out, with an emphasis on gear, talent, and addon guides. Basically so I can refer my guild’s mage applicants here instead of typing out the same instructions for the billionth time. ;)
Who are you?
My name is Brian, I’m twenty-four, and whenever real life drags me away from the computer, I’m a Systems Support IT guy for a recruiting firm.
My life goal is literally to retire so I can spend all day playing video games with my girlfriend.
