Extraterrestrial feline friendly label RIPNDIP surprised the streetwear capital of the world that is Farfaix Avenue by opening up a surprise one-of-a-kind art gallery and retail pop-up to launch their renaissance themed spring 2016 line. The whimsical collection includes nods to famous works by artists Dali, Rodin and Michelangelo, replacing the original works with venerable characters Lord Nermal and We Out Here Alien. RIPNDIP converted Known Gallery's bright and lofty space into a installation art exhibit, where the brand icons come to life in statues, animatronics, furniture, and traditional paintings. LA industry types celebrated the opening with two nights of open bar festivities where the furry and green creatures themselves made an appearance as well as social media savage Lil Mayo. The pop-up is located at 441 N. Fairfax Avenue and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until March 21st.
