When a friend sends a random link to an abandoned building that’s under an hour away with some pretty cool photos and an invite to go the next day, one goes along.  This morning a few of us rolled into the former coal cracking town of Lansford, PA, which in it’s day was probably something a tad nicer.  Life isn’t easy in former coal towns and this one has seen better days.  Lansford is the home to Kiddie Kloes, a clothing factory that made Cinderella brand clothing, amongst others.  Sadly, it closed in 1988 and has been neglected and to die by the side of the road, ironically in the center of the city, only a few dozen yards from the local football stadium.

Hard to believe a whole year has passed, but it has.  Seeing my friends’ family grow year after year is an amazing thing, and I’m glad I get the opportunity to shoot them.  Last year, it was overcast and cold, this year we were blessed with an unseasonably warm November day and basked in the warmth of the sun for this late afternoon shoot at a local park.  I’m totally thrilled with the shoot and can’t believe how big Chloe & Vivian have grown.

Five years ago I did some holiday photos for friends and, at the time neighbors Amanda, James & Kylie.  The family of 3 are no longer my neighbors and no longer a family of 3.  Now, the family of 5 lives a few hours away, but made the trip back to have their annual photos done at the same location for their sixth shoot, and this time Quinn is here too.  Take a look back through the years to see this evolution.

Well over a year ago I did some head shots for a local artists, producer and DJ, Angel B.  The images were used on his website and overall, received very well.  The photos have since been re-purposed with the talent from MDC, for these promo flyers.

Being inspired by the people around me is important, and while often grumpy, Keith B has been a longtime friend who has inspired and encouraged me to start my own business and had my back for years.  Over the last few years he’s become one of the most sought after tattoo machine builders, brilliantly handcrafting them one at a time in his workshop while remaining humble and grounded. Over a month ago he asked me to come take photos of him building machines and some finished ones for an upcoming magazine interview.
